Perth Day 5 (24/11/2014)

The itinerary for today is definitely an exciting one..Cape Lavender and Busselton Jetty !

After a quick and hasty breakfast, we set off to Cape Lavender..to have scones and tea and smell Lavenders!  kekekeeke!

Our 1st destination of the day...

Seriously, if there is one place I'd like to revisit for scones and tea, it will have to be at Cape Lavender.  Fro the exterior to the interior, you see purples..and all stuff made of lavender.  The place is so tastefully furnished and decorated that you simply felt that you are inside someone's home.  Felt really cozy and soothing to the soul.  They have a little room dedicated to selling all things lavender. You do not feel compelled to buy ..but somehow the whiff of lavender scent just put you in such relax and good mood that you can't help but buy something. LOL ! I know..excuses.

Me and my Dukkah craze...I bought another bottle here ...

This place...they served piping hot scones, with generous spread, nicely dished out and also tea with lavender! We ordered 3 scones to share...yummy !

We ordered tea that was meant for 2 pax just to try..and surprising, it was enough for the 5 of us, with unfinished portion !  So when placing order, go slow and easy...don't be too ambitious.. :)  Chairs, napkins, cutleries..etc etc...all with the signature lavender touch or print.

Ahh enough of ravings on Cape Lavender..after about 1.5 hours break, we set off for Busselton Jetty. Drive there using google map directions was easy enough.  NO hiccups.

The 1st sight that greeted us after we parked our car.  SIMMOS !  When I was doing the planning, I got kind of confused.  Many people mentioned about going to SIMMOS after visiting the jetty, but I was not sure where SIMMOS was located.  Turn out...it is located just at the start of the jetty...lol...silly me.

Can't help it...the place looked so post card like that I took tons and tons of photos..

Haiz..our biggest disappointment ..when we were there, the train ride to the underwater observatory was not in operation ! It was down for maintenance for 3 days, starting from the day we were there. What a %&*(& :((. So..lesson learnt - you may want to call u the jetty and ask if the train is in operation before driving down.

Very near to the jetty, there is this huge open space where people just bring their picnic baskets, mats etc to enjoy a day out.  Can swim too..if you can brave the cold water during winter..

Streets of Busselton town.  This is a rather small town. We spotted Target, Woolsworth...and zoooom...we were there in the next minute !

Making our way back to the farm cottage..

Oh btw, this drink tasted so refreshing!  Highly recommended!  We bought from Woolsworth..

Upon reaching our cottage, guess who was in front of our bedroom window? Mr Peacock!

Once at the cottage, the usual routine...cooking and setting up fire place.  Kids went out to collect more firewood and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, running back to the cottage with a full load, laughing all the way !  Their happiness? Priceless!  This is what childhood should be like !
